The Countess

Privacy

This page describes the information The Countess uses to provide the service.

Account information

The Countess uses Password authentication through @convex-dev/auth. Account records may include your email address, profile fields, timestamps, and Countess Credit counters.

Your text and generated options

Active text problems store the source text you submit, the selected mode, generated options, selected vibe, an optional Countess's Choice, timestamps, and an expiration time. Source text is capped at 4,000 characters.

Source text is sent to OpenAI to generate or evaluate suggestions. The app's prompt construction does not include your account email address.

Problem expiration

Active problems expire from access after eight hours. Successful saves of generated options or a Countess's Choice extend that expiration time. Expired problem records are not available through the app; this does not mean they are represented here as physically deleted.

Analytics and attribution

When configured, PostHog provides pageview and autocapture analytics using cookies and local storage. The app records signup events and retains checkout attribution identifiers and UTM parameters in the browser for checkout attribution. The source does not show Countess text being sent to PostHog.

Purchases

Purchase fulfillment records include an order ID, user ID, platform product ID, credited quantity, and timestamp. The Countess does not store payment-card details or billing addresses in its purchase fulfillment records.

Services used

The Countess uses Convex for its backend and authentication, OpenAI for generation and evaluation, PostHog when analytics is configured, and MadeThis for checkout and purchase fulfillment.
